A new era of medium- and high-voltage cable production begins

1999 -

The first CDCC line at Riihimäki was installed at Paloheimo Oy’s former fibre-glass factory. The production of medium- and high-voltage cables began there and heralded a new era for Reka. A modern packaging centre was built at Keuruu. There robotised automatic packaging machines were introduced.

In 2006, large-scale investments were launched at Riihimäki. A new insulation line was started up by the end of that year, and the first phase of the machine shop was completed in summer 2007. The project is reaching its conclusion in 2008, and a total of 10,000 m² of new production space is being created at Riihimäki.

In 2006, factory premises were bought at Podolski in Russia, and the production of medium-voltage cables was started there in autumn 2007.
